Freediving Breath workshop

When: More 2024 dates announced soon!

Where: Mornington and Bellarine Peninsulas, VIC.

Cost: $110

Pre-requisites: Freediving Basic Level or Level 1/Wave 1/Advanced Mermaid recommended but not strictly required.

This 2.5hr workshop is intended for anyone with a freediving, surf, scuba or mermaid practice who would like to learn about how to optimise their breathing, develop skills for relaxation in the water and improve body mechanics to enhance lung volume.

The session will include mobility work and stretches, education on anatomy and physiology, sinus clearing exercises, specific breath control work, and meditation/relaxation practice. It is through cultivating better airflow, lung volumes and mental state that we achieve longer breath holds and a sense of ease underwater. There will of course be opportunity to practice breath holds during the session - so you can see your progress!

This workshop is intended to help you find your own pathway to self-awareness and self-regulation in the aqueous world. It is aimed at helping you find calmness and self-regulation underwater, and in turn have more confidence and self-trust, whilst understanding the importance of safety.

Any level of experience welcome!

Please note that you must be healthy and well to attend, and understand that this type of breathwork may not be appropriate during pregnancy, for some cardiac or respiratory conditions. Please get in touch if you are unsure about this.
